BA (Hons), MSc, PG Dip, CPsychol
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I have several years' experience providing psychological therapy to adults experiencing common mental health problems, as well as more severe and complex difficulties . I have held positions within a variety of settings, including in the NHS (Community mental health team and an eating disorder service) and third sector organisations (drug and alcohol services). I have worked with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, drug and alcohol difficulties, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. I have a special interest in understanding and treating trauma-related difficulties and eating disorders.

Clinical Approach
I am trained to provide a range of evidenced-based psychological approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills (DBT skills), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Psychodynamic therapy. I aim to work flexibly, utilising these approaches as appropriate, and adapting or integrating interventions to best meet an individual's unique needs, circumstances and preferences.
I am committed to supporting people to find positive and healthy ways to move forward with their lives. This begins with establishing a safe, trusting and non-judgemental therapy relationship, as I believe this often forms the foundation of a meaningful therapeutic experience. I like to work in partnership with my client's, to develop a shared understanding of their difficulties and work together to find the best way forward. My aim is to draw on appropriate evidence-based interventions as well as a person’s strengths and values to shape the course of therapy. I love my work and consider it a privilege work to alongside an individual as they begin to take steps towards overcoming their difficulties and leading more fulfilling lives.
