Progression Psychology

We are a group of highly qualified Chartered Psychologists with many years experience working in the NHS treating adults with mental health difficulties. We are all experienced in working with a wide spectrum of psychological difficulties and diagnoses, and we can work from a range of Psychological therapy models including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Mindfulness, and Systemic Family Therapy. Our many years of therapy experience equips us to offer therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

We love our work, in particular the challenge of understanding each person’s individual story and adapting therapy models to find a good fit in order to help people bring about the changes they need to flourish.  In meeting with you, we aim to create a safe, warm environment where you can talk about and think through your thoughts, feelings, and experiences away from your everyday life so that you can make sense of your difficulties, manage them better and improve your life and relationships.

We are all aligned to the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC), the national regulator for Psychologists in Britain. We  work to the professional guidelines set out by these organisations and we are accountable to them. We are all members of EMDR-UK and Ireland. We offer a psychological therapy service based on the principles of high standards and strict confidentiality. In order to ensure the highest standards of care, we are all supervised on our work and have additional specialist supervision with an EMDR-UK and Ireland accredited supervisor.

We all have enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificates. We are all registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and meet GDPR (data protection) requirements.

When deciding on psychological therapy it is important to find a therapist who is properly qualified, regulated and supervised in their work and with whom you can build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.  You can feel reassured that at Progression Psychology we are fully qualified, regulated and supervised; we are professional, compassionate and dedicated to providing highly specialised, evidenced based treatment which is tailored to individual needs.
